Jailbird 04:07
Lyrics for "Jailbird": Running away from deciding You can hide in your hands But I know that you're looking Beautiful brain scrutinizing Every bar, every slur Every word, you're just lurking Trying to act so nonchalant 'Cause you know what they say Use the wrong key and you'll jam the lock For now this jailbird's gotta wait Maybe we can have our own place to haunt Maybe we could have a couple chairs to rock Maybe we could sit on the porch and talk Maybe we could fire off warning shots Maybe we could fire off warnings Maybe I could see you in the morning Maybe I'll see you again Maybe I'll see you again Going insane, psychosomatic I'm on fire, I'm freezing Unfocused, it's my fault Try to explain I'm claustrophobic And your bigness has got me addicted by default What can I say? It's so romantic And maybe someday someone writes all about it Maybe in May, in an alleyway We'll load up and laugh at the fact that we doubted Watch my bell jar flower die Dust to dust, auf wiedersehen Hit me up in your sweet new ride For now this jailbird's gotta wait For now this jailbird's gotta wait For now this jailbird's gotta wait For now this jailbird's gotta wait Gotta wait Maybe we can have our own place to haunt Maybe we could have a couple chairs to rock Maybe we could sit on the porch and talk Maybe we could fire off warning shots Maybe we could fire off warnings Maybe I could see you in the morning Maybe I'll see you again Maybe I'll see you again

Low 03:50
Lyrics for "Low": Can't you feel it pounding Steady, steady throb Hide my eyes behind dark lenses So no one steals my thoughts Looking down from a mountain Judging what's below But the mountain's getting shaken And I'm feeling mighty low What do you want? How many lured through your door? What's wrong with your heart? How much are souls going for? Reason's failing Causing scenes There's no reset We are not machines We have gotten ourselves stuck Fighting for the front But when the curtain falls It's gonna crush and kill us all Just wanted this to stop And then I let my guard drop Then you give me one more reason To bottle myself up What do you want? How many lured through your door? What's wrong with your heart? How much are souls going for? Reason's failing Causing scenes There's no reset We are not machines Reason's failing Causing scenes There's no reset We are not machines Reason's failing Causing scenes There's no reset We are not machines Anger just keeps rising Over 8 V.E.I. The god of fire's crying Wanna throw a storm in the sky

Jordan 03:22
Lyrics for "Jordan": Jordan brushed my hair last week She always treats me like i'm 12 Her knuckle brushed against my cheek I'm just a doll under her spell You didn't used to see that tree Behind the house across the street It's grown so high it's scraped the sky I hear her saying Sister Lady Luck Oh, the world is strange Are you feeling stuck? Winter ladybug Oh, for goodness sake All you need is drugs All you need is drugs Jordan rings the bell again Put up a front, go out the backdoor She'll want rain on a sunny day She'll think she's smart for feeling so bored Something's gouged a hole up there And no one seems to see or care It's creeping down towards the ground I hear her saying Sister Lady Luck Oh, the world's deranged All the world is mud Winter ladybug Oh, for goodness sake All you need is drugs All you need is drugs All you need is drugs All you need is drugs Me, I draw the curtain, draw the water Wait until it's tepid Eye the toaster and the hairdryer She'd be angry, better forget it Put the coffee on Put the coffee on Put the coffee on I hear her saying Sister Lady Luck Sister Lady Luck All you need is drugs All you need is drugs All you need is drugs, drugs, drugs All you need is drugs, drugs, drugs All you need is drugs, drugs, drugs All you need is All you need is All you need is All you need is All you need is All you need is All you need is

Lyrics for "I Don't Believe": Don't show up at my doorstep Go back to where you came from Like it never even happened My wife's upstairs in her bed I don't want no trouble Can we call it even Steven? Lyrics for "Trash": Doesn't matter if you love her 'Cause you gotta let her go Drink your water, eat your dinner Watch your favourite TV show You remember every feather Every satin ribbon bow Stormy weather, it gets better That's the only thing I know 'Cause old love, standing in the shadow Standing with your back to the wall So what, we're trash But we always try to make it right Fix your past life with a glass eye Scraps of silk and velveteen Funny hairstyle, snaggletooth smile She'll always be a beauty queen Do you feel shy, do you ask why Life isn't like the movies? Cause everyone lies and everyone cries But we still gotta plant those apple trees 'Cause old love, standing in the shadow Standing with your back to the wall So what, we're trash But we always try to make it right Love, staring out the window Staring down the end of the world So what, we're trash But we always try to make it right Take me home Take me home Take me home Now everybody's got a story Most are more messed up than mine But glory, glory, don't be sorry Anymore for being alive 'Cause old love, standing in the shadow Standing with your back to the wall So what, we're trash But we always try to make it right Love, staring out the window Staring down the end of the world So what, we're trash But we always try to make it right Love, knocking on the front door Knocking though there's nobody here So what, we're trash But we always try to make it right Love, woke up on the hall floor Woke up in your coat and your heels So what, we're trash But we always try to make it right Take me home Take me home Take me home Take me home Take me home Take me home

Matches 04:12
Lyrics for "Matches": I know it's not a house that makes a home And hearts are glass, too easily broke And it doesn't seem to matter You think your love lies at the bottom of the sea But it always washes up on the shore eventually And it doesn't seem to matter In the end Life's a box of matches In the end You only get so many chances You only get to laugh so many times It doesn't matter You only get one true love of your life You only get to lie under one blue sky And watch the sun rise a finite number of times It doesn't matter One day we'll all be in the ground And the world will just keep spinning, spinning around It doesn't matter In the end Life's a box of matches In the end You only get so many chances You only get to laugh so many times It doesn't matter You only get one true love of your life So when all the chances have been had What's the matter with feeling sad? When all the chances have been had What's the matter with feeling sad? It doesn't matter It doesn't matter It doesn't matter It doesn't matter It doesn't matter It doesn't matter It doesn't matter It doesn't matter

about

Drawn to outsider art and '90s indie music, Toronto's Vivienne Wilder tackles inner strength on her latest release 'I Don't Believe,' a reference to her dismissal of most evil actions as addictive power trips by individuals who are themselves feeling outcast. Over 8 tracks of Elastica-tinged indie mixed with the sax-laden The Zutons, while discussing Tom Waits with Mazzy Star inspired music, Vivienne Wilder delves into topics surrounding mental health, both her own and those around her. With a lauded, distinctive voice that's been strengthened through weekly YouTube livestreams during the pandemic, Wilder's take on the world is engaging, raw and at times raucous.

Anxiety, self-doubt, substance abuse, codependence and suicidal ideation are recurring themes in her writing, but her message grasps for those stories of hope, and rises them for us all to reach out and be drawn upwards.
